Kim Victoria Cattrall (born August 21st, 1956) is a British-Canadian actress most well-known for her performance as Samantha Jones in the HBO show Sex and the City for which she received five Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominations winning the 2002 Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. She reprised the lead role in Sex and the City 2: Sex and the City (2008 as well as Sex and the City 2) (2010) films. In the following year she was an unproven newcomer for the film Blood Alley she was awarded the Golden Globe in the most likely category.
